I have been a financial journalist in Frankfurt, Germany for more than 20 years.

What did you want to do or think you were going to do when you finished high school?

Journalism

Do you still play a sport or instrument you did in h.s.?

As any American boy, I grew up with a host of sports that I still love today - football, soccer, baseball, tennis and overall fitness.

Where in the world have you been?

I've lived in Germany since 1996 so quite aways from Winnetka.

Thoughts on high school, favorite classes or teachers, a good high school anecdote?

I was a fan of my history teacher and sometime athletic coach Doug Chase.

What were you listening to back then?

I was impressed with U2, The Cure and The Smiths in particular.

Do you remember a national or world event affecting teenage you?

Quite a few: Reagan's landslide re-election, the Challenger crash, the Bears' glorious Super Bowl victory and the Iran-Contra scandal.

Which John Hughes movie is the best, and why?

Some Kind of Wonderful. I think I had a teenage crush on Mary Stuart Masterson. It wouldn't be the first time the love was not reciprocated.

Did you remember with whom you walked down the aisle at graduation? Did you know them then?

Sorry, I don't remember

That's a definite no
